Ex-secretary Subrata made BTRC commissioner 

The government has appointed former secretary Subrata Roy Maitra as commissioner of Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC).

He was appointed on contractual basis for a three-year term.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a circulation in this regard on Tuesday.

The appointment will be effective from his joining date.

Earlier, Subrata Roy was director general of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) when ranked as additional secretary.

As an additional secretary, he went on Post Retirement Leave (PRL) on September 20, 2018. On the same day, he was promoted to secretary.
