RMG workers block road in Ashulia

Over 700 workers of a readymade garment blocked the Bismail-Zirabo road in Ashulia, demanding their due wages.
The workers of Trendy Outwear Limited blocked the road for one hour and started protesting. Meanwhile, police dispersed them from the road. Later, the workers took position in front of the factory.
Workers said, the factory authority started showing many reason without giving their wages of September month. Earlier, the authority promised to pay the salaries within October 26. But, workers found the factory closed on Saturday. Later, the agitated workers besized BGMEA Bhaban on October 27. Meanwhile, BGMEA senior secretary Mansur Khaled said, BGMEA will assist the workers if the factory don’t pay the salaries in October 30.
The protesters also said that the authority again today seek time from the workers to pay the wages.
Following the issue, Industrial police-1 police super Sana Saminur Rahman said the factory owners said the wages will be paid tomorrow.
