Land official held while taking bribe in Ctg

Officials of Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Wednesday detained a land official red-handed while he was taking bribe at Banshkhali upazila in Chattogram.

The detainee is identified as Nurul Alam Siddique, assistant land officer of Banshkhali upazila land office.

A six-member team led by Chattogram-1 assistant director Lutful Kabir Chandan conducted a drive in this afternoon. The law enforcers caught Nurul Alam while he was taking Tk15,000. Meanwhile, the ACC team recovered Tk47,770 more from drawer of his desk.
