Cost, time of Padma bridge project to rise

The cost and time of the much-hyped Padma Bridge project are going to increase again.

Sources of planning commission on Thursday said, a proposal to increase the project cost and duration was sent to planning commission.

The Padma Bridge project was scheduled to end on December 30, 2019. Later, the deadline was extended till June 2021. Besides, the cost of the project will be increased. Earlier, total project cost was Tk 30,193.76 crore.
