Shawpon Kumar made new BB executive director

Shawpon Kumar has got promotion as the new executive director of the Bangladesh Bank (BB).

Prior to the promotion, he was a general manager of Bangladesh Bank Training Academy, according to a statement.

A Bangladesh Bank press release confirmed the matter on Wednesday.

He obtained his graduation and postgraduation degree in English Literature from the University of Dhaka. He started his career in 1989 as assistant director at Bangladesh Bank.
