5 shot in Munshiganj clash

At least five people received bullet injuries during a clash between two groups of people over establishing supremacy in Imampur Sholoani village under Gazaria upazila of Munshiganj district on Saturday.

The injured are- Ahsan Bepari, Shahid Bepari, Jahid Hasan Ruku Dewan, Shah Paran and Abu Taher.

Gazaria police station Officer-in-Charge Harun-or-Rashid said, supporters of Alam Member, Rayhan and Sabuj Dewan locked into a clash around 11:00am, leaving five people bullet injured. Meanwhile, over fifty houses were vandalized. On information, police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.

Additional police forces were deployed in the area, OC added.
