Body of missing child recovered in Savar

Police have recovered the body of a five-years-old boy after three days of abduction from Baishakanda area of Dhamrai in Dhaka.

The deceased was known as Mobin, son of expatriate Abdul Karim, hailed from Mongolbari village of Baishakanda union in Dhamrai.  

Police also detained a suspected kidnapper named Azizul Islam, 30, in this connection. Azizul Islam worked as a care taker of the house.

Police said the kid went missing while playing at field adjacent to his house on December 7. Finding no trace of the boy, the family members filed a case with Dhamrai police station. On information, police detained Azizul Islam. Later, following his information, police recovered the body of the victim.

Sub-Inspector (SI) of Dhamrai Police Station Ibn-Farhad confirmed the matter on Wednesday.
