Banks in Dhaka to remain open Friday, Saturday

Bangladesh Bank (BB) has asked the banks in Dhaka to remain open on Friday and Saturday centering Dhaka North and South City Corporation polls.  

A circular issued from the central bank's department of offsite supervision (DOS) confirmed the matter on Thursday.

Bangladesh took the decision to facilitate the nomination submission of the candidates for upcoming polls in two city corporations.
