No threat centering 31st night: Home Minister

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said that there is no threat centering 31st night. But anything excessive should not be made. Legal steps must be taken if indiscipline is found there.

The Minister said this while speaking at the capital’s Segunbaghicha on Monday.

Kamal said many walk out on roads and drive recklessly on 31 night. Many also arrange concert at open place. But all these are forbidden. All open-place programmes must be ended before evening. No dirtiness will be allowed.

Members of intelligence agencies along with police and RAB will perform duty to ensure security. Admit card would be checked while entering on Dhaka University campus after evening. No outsider would be allowed in the campus. All kinds of bars will be closed on the day, he added.
