HC upholds death sentence for 8 in Sima murder case

The High Court (HC) upheld a lower court verdict, sentencing five persons to death in a case lodged over murder of school girl named Smri Nath Sima.

Justice Bhabani Prasad and Justice Md Kamrul Hossain Mollah passed the order on Tuesday.

The court also sentenced two others to life term imprisonment in the case.
