Govt to import 4.5 lakh mt of fertilizer

The government is going to import some 4.5 lakh metric tons of DAP fertilizer from Saudi Arabia with a cost of around Tk 1,379.51 crore.

Bangladesh Agriculture Development Corporation (BDAC) has recently signed an MoU with the Saudi authority in this regard.

The approval will come in a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Government Purchase very soon, sources said.
