ACC to begin probe against Laxmipur MP

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has decided to launch an investigation against lawmaker Quazi Shaheed Islam Paplu on charges of corruption.

The decision was taken at a meeting held at the ACC’s head office in the capital on Wednesday.

A source at the anti-graft body told this to risingbd.

The source said an officer will soon be assigned to carry out the investigation against Quazi Shaheed Islam, MP of Laxmipur-2.

It is learnt that Quazi Shaheed Islam supposedly amassed hundreds of crores of taka illegally through human trafficking to Kuwait and siphoned off the money to different countries.
