No threat over Mujib Year programmes: Home Minister

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan has ruled out any fear of sabotage at programmes on Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s birth centenary.
He said, “We have yet not received any threat likely to be occurred at programmes of Bangabandhu’s birth centenary. Intelligence agencies have yet not informed us such threat.
The Minister on Wednesday said this after holding a meeting with sub-committee on security of Bangabandhu’s birth centenary at the ministry’s conference room.
Kamal said programmes of Mujib year are set to be held at Parade Square of the old airport. Security must be briefed up to avoid any unexpected incident centering the programmes.
Those are found involving in spreading rumours on social media will also be kept under monitoring, he added.
