Chinese aircraft carrying medical logistics arrives in Dhaka

Medical equipment, donated by China-based e-commerce giant Ali Baba, has arrived in Dhaka, to help Bangladesh tackle coronavirus pandemic better.
The cargo aircraft carrying the medical items landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 2:15pm on Sunday.
Chinese embassy in Dhaka confirmed the development.
Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Li Jiming said the medical equipment will be handed over to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of Bangladesh.
It was learnt that the medical items include 30,000 Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), 30,000 coronavirus testing kits and 3 lakh masks (2.75 lakh surgical masks while the rest are N95 masks.
Earlier, the second batch of medical logistics, including 10,000 testing kits, 10,000 sets of personal protective equipment (PPE), 1,000 infrared thermometers, sent by Chinese government arrived in Dhaka on Thursday.
