Educational institutions to remain closed till September

All educational institutions in the country will remain closed till September, amid the outbreak of coronavirus.
“Schools and colleges will not be opened now. Educational institutions will remain closed till September. However, we did not decide when we will open those. All will remain closed if the coronavirus continues. We will open those when it stops. This arrangement has been taken so that no public gathering is held”.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said this on Monday while addressing a videoconference with the public representatives and officials of eight districts in Rajshahi division on the present coronavirus situation of the country.
The videoconference started at 10am at the prime minister’s official Ganabhaban residence, and the public representatives and officials of the eight districts of Rajshahi division were connected to it.
The districts are Bogura, Chapainawabganj, Joypurhat, Naogaon, Natore, Pabna, Rajshahi and Sirajgonj.
Earlier, Sheikh Hasina exchanged views with the public representatives and officials of 48 districts of Dhaka, Chattogram, Khulna, Syhet, Barishal and Mymensingh divisions in four phases via videoconferences on the current coronavirus situation.
