45 police men test coronavirus positive in N’ganj

Forty-five police members have tested coronavirus positive in Narayanganj. Many of them have been admitted to different hospital while others are being given treatment at their homes.

Md Zayedul Alam, Superintendent of Police (SP) in Narayanganj, confirmed this to risingbd on Friday.

He said police are working from the frontline to prevent the coronavirus spread. This might be a reason of their being infected with coronavirus. Many of them have been admitted to different hospitals including Rajarbag and Narayanganj sadar hospitals and ensured treatment.”

A source said number of coronavirus infected patients are comparatively higher than other parts of the country except Dhaka. So, mroe police members are being infected with the virus in the district.

It was learnt that of the infected cops, four are inspectors. They have been admitted to Rajarbag police hospital. Some are taking treatment from their homes while some have been admitted to isolation centres set up in concern thana area.
