24 Bangladeshis killed in Libya identified

24 Bangladeshis who have killed by a family of a Libyan human trafficker have been identified.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 26 Bangladeshi migrant workers were killed and 11 others were wounded in the incident. Among the casualties, 24 were identified as 'missing or dead' and 11 as injured.

The 24 'missing or dead' are - Sujan and Kamrul of Gopalganj; Zakir Hossain, Syedul, Jewel and Firuz of Madaripur, Jewel and Manik of Bidyanandi of Rajoir, Asadul, Aynal Mollah (dead) and Monir of Tekerhat, Sajib and Shaheen of Ishabpur, Arfan (dead) of Dhaka;  Rajan, Shakil, Shakib and Sohag of Bhairab in Kishoreganj, Akash and Md. Ali of Rasulpur, Rahim (dead) of Hossainpur and Rakibul of Jashore.

Libyan media reported that 30 migrant workers, including 26 Bangladeshis, were shot dead by associates and relatives of a member of a human trafficker on Thursday. The other four killed were African nationals.
