The government has imposed a travel ban on Regent Hospital Chairman Md Shahed accused of issuing fake Covid-19 test results and charging patients for the test.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) issued a letter to immigration police in this regard on Thursday (July 9).
Sources at the Metropolitan Police confirmed the news.
Earlier on the night of July 7, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) filed a case with Uttara West Police Station on charges of issuing fake Covid-19 test results and charging patients for the test. At least 17 individuals including the hospital owner were made accused in the case.
