Dr Abul Bashar made new DG of DGHS

Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) professor Abul Bashar Mohammad Khurshid Alam has been appointed as new Director General (DG) of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Health Ministry issued a notification in this regard on Thursday evening (July 23).

Sources said, the government scrapped the contractual appointment of Professor Dr Abul Kalam Azad as the chief of DGHS on Thursday.

Earlier on Tuesday (July 21) Professor Abul Kalam Azad submitted his resign letter after various types of irregularities were surfaced during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
