Supplying ‘fake’ masks: Aparajita’s Sharmin arrested

Detective Branch of Police (DB) has arrested Aparajita Trade International’s owner Sharmin Jahan a case filed by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) for supplying ‘fake’ masks.
She was arrested from her Savar residence on Friday night. Later, she was taken to DB police headquarters.
Chief of media wing of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Walid Hossain confirmed the news.
BSMMU Proctor Syed Mozaffor Ahmed filed the case with Shahbag Police Station on Thursday for supplying ‘fake’ masks.
It was learnt that Sharmin Jahan served as the president of Chhatra League’s Kuwait Maitree Hall unit of Dhaka University.
She was also a member of the Awami League’s central sub-committee on women and children affairs.
