PK Halder’s girlfriend arrested

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has arrested Shuvra Rani Ghosh, a girl friend of Proshanta Kumar Halder alias PK Halder, the alleged mastermind behind one of the biggest financial scams in the nation's history.

Shuvra was arrested from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Monday morning. She was trying to flee the country.

ACC Public Relations Officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya confirmed the news.

The ACC Sunday filed a case against her on allegation of embezzling Tk 87.6 crore from International Finance in the name of a fake company.

On January 13, PK Halder’s another girlfriend Abantika Boral was arrested.
