Hefazat leader Azizul Haque put on remand

A court in Dhaka has granted 7-day remand order to Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh organising secretary Azizul Haque Islamabadi.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Devdas Chandra Adhikari passed the order on Monday (April 12).

Earlier, Investigation Officer of the case DB police inspector Kamrul Hasan Talukdar produced the accused before court seeking 10 days remand.

On Sunday (April 11), police arrested him from Hathazari during a drive in the area in Chattogram.

Azizul Haque Islamabadi was arrested in five cases, including a case lodged in 2013.
