In what case Mamunul Haque arrested?

Joint Secretary General of Hefajat-e-Islam Maulana Mamunul Haque has been arrested in a case filed with the capital’s Mohammadpur Police Station.
Abdul Latif, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Mohammadpur Police Station, confirmed the matter.
According to police sources, A 10-day remand will be sought for him after he will be produced before the court.
OC Abdul Latif said, “The case in which Mamunul Haque has been arrested was filed on March 7, 2020. It was complained in the case that a clash broke out in Mohammadpur area on that day. Mamunul Haque was directly involved in it. The matter was confirmed in the investigation.”
DB Police arrested him from Jamia Rahmania Madrasa of Mohammadpur on Sunday (April 18) noon. He was sued in several cases filed for sabotage activities at different places across the country including the capital Dhaka.
According to police, there are five to six more complaints against Mamunul Haque over arson, obstruction to government works, looting and damaging to lives and properties of people.
Police are taking preparations to file cases against him over the complaints. He may be shown arrested in the cases, according to top police officials.
