Rafiqul Islam Madani placed on fresh 4-day remand

A Dhaka court has placed Rafiqul Islam Madani, popularly known as “shishu bokta” (child preacher), on a four-day remand in a case filed with the capital’s Matijheel Police Station over clash with police.
The virtual court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Abu Sufiyan Md Noman passed the order on Wednesday (April 21).
Earlier, Investigation Officer (IO) Inspector Kamrul Islam showed Rafiqul Islam Madani arrested in the case and sought a 10-day remand form him.
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested Rafiqul Islam Madani from his Letirkanda village home under Purbadhala upazila in Netrokona on April 7.
A case was filed against him with Gachha Police Station of Gazipur. Later, he was remanded for two days in the case.
