Italy relaxes travel restrictions for Bangladeshis

Italy has finally relaxed travel restrictions for Bangladesh nationals which was imposed due to coronavirus pandemic.

The Health Ministry of the European country issued a notification in this regard on August 28 which will come into effect from midnight of August 31 (Italy Standard Time).

Bangladesh High Commission in Rome revealed the matter in a Facebook post on Monday (August 30).

Alongside, the country also relaxed the restrictions for citizens of India and Sri Lanka.

However, passengers traveling to Italy must abide by certain conditions. They must fill out a digital passenger locator form before traveling to the country.

Considering the risk of infection of passengers of airplanes, ships, trains, buses or any other mode of transport, the health authorities of different countries issue directives to them to fill up the Passenger Locator Form (PLF) for contact tracing.

Passengers must bring a negative certificate of corona PCR test conducting 72 hours before entering Italy. Covid test will be made again after arriving in the airport in Italy.

The passenger has to stay at home quarantine for 10 days at the address mentioned in the digital passenger locator form. After being in quarantine for 10 days, Covid test will have to be conducted again.
