Gazipur city mayor Jahangir Alam served show-cause notice

The Awami League (AL) has issued a show-cause notice to Gazipur metropolitan Awami League general secretary Jahangir Alam Sarkar, also the city mayor of Gazipur, on charges of carrying out activities against the interests of the party and breaching organizational discipline.

This was confirmed in a letter signed by AL General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Sunday (October 03). AL office secretary Barrister Biplob Barua confirmed this to risingbd.

Jahangir Alam has been asked to reply to the show-cause notice within 15 working days.
