Dhaka city corporation truck claims another life

A pillion was killed when a Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) garbage truck hit a motorcycle at Dhaka’s Kawran Bazar on Thursday noon (November 25).

The deceased was known as Ahsan Kabir Khan, 45, son of Abdul Mannan, hailed from Sirzu village of Jhalakathi Sadar. He was a garment accessories trader.

Witnesses said the vehicle rammed the motorcycle in the Panthapath area, leaving the victim dead on the spot. Later, on information police seized the DNCC truck.

Kalabangan police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Asaduzzaman told risingbd the vehicle was seized after the incident. However, the driver of it fled the scene.

Earlier, on November 24, a second-year student of Notre Dame College was killed by a Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) garbage truck.
