Justice FRM Nazmul Ahasan dies

Newly appointed Justice FRM Nazmul Ahasan of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court has passed away.

The justice breathed his last around 6:15 am on Friday (February 4) at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU).

Supreme Court spokesperson Mohammad Saifur Rahman confirmed the matter.

Earlier on January 9, four High Court judges were elevated to the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court. Justice Ahasan could not take the oath as he was tested positive for Coronavirus.

Chief Justice Hasan Foez Siddique expressed deep shock at the demise of Justice Ahasan.
