Heavy traffic jam on Airport Road

Hundreds of vehicles have remained stuck on Airport Road due to long tailbacks from Wednesday morning, causing immense and untold sufferings to passengers.

The Dhaka-Mymensingh highway is experiencing the traffic jam due to repairing work. As a result, vehicles are spending more time to cross the road. Many people are walking on the road, leaving the buses.

Duty Officer of Airport Thana Juwel Rana said the traffic jam has created from Gazipur to Banani. Vehicles are spending more time to cross the road.  As a result, passengers are suffering more.

Sources said repairing work of the highway is a reason for the traffic jam.
