BNP fears election due to lack of leadership: Dipu Moni

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni has said that BNP leadership is convicted of corruption. Therefore, due to the lack of leadership, they are afraid to go to the next general election and make various excuses over it. They are trying to question the election.

She said, “One of the two key leaders of BNP has been convicted of corruption and the other has fled the country. Who will be their leader in this situation? Ours have the leader like Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The whole world respects her.”

She made the remarks while speaking as the chief guest at the triennial conference of Netrokona Sadar Upazila Awami League and Municipal Awami League on Tuesday (March 1).

Dipu Moni said, “We are strengthening the party (Awami League) from the grassroots through the conference so that the Razakars, Al-Badrs and their allies can never flourish in this country.”

She said, “The Election Commission has been formed through a transparent process. We applaud them. Surely they will give the gift of a transparent election and the Awami League will come to power again.”
