Two youths die of ‘poisoning’ in capital’s Kamrangirchar

Two youths have died of ‘taking poison’ in Muslimbagh area of Kamrangirchar in the capital Dhaka.

The incident took place on Wednesday (May 25) morning.

The deceased are Md Miraj, 25, and his friend Md Rubel, 25.

According sources, Miraj and his friend Md Rubel took poison in the morning, leaving Rubel dead on the spot. Miraj was taken at Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he died around 12.00pm.

Police recovered the bodies of two youths and sent those for autopsy.

“Both of the bodies had signs of vomiting. We primarily suspected they ate or drank something and died of poisoning,” police said.
