Taka devalued by Tk2.10 against dollar in 3 days

The Bangladesh Bank has devalued taka by Tk2.10 against the US dollar in three working days.
So, the banks had to spend Tk92 to buy every US dollar from the central bank on Tuesday (June 7). Earlier, on Monday the rate was Tk91.95.
The dollar price has been increased by six phases in one month.
Serajul Islam, executive director and spokesperson of the Bangladesh Bank said, the central bank sold $129 million today at a price of Tk92.
Earlier, on Tuesday the volatile price of US dollar took a new turn in the domestic market, as a dollar in the open market, or kerb market, reached Tk102 apiece.
