Second dose of oral cholera vaccination begins

The second round of the oral cholera vaccination campaign began on Wednesday morning in five selected areas of the capital.

The areas are Jatrabari, Dakshin Khan, Sabujbagh, Mohammadpur and Mirpur.

A total of 23,65,585 people who received the first dose of the vaccine between June 26 and July 2 will be given the second dose of vaccine during the drive.

The campaign will continue from 8.00am to 4.00pm without any break. The vaccination will be conducted till August 10 (except Friday and Ashura Day on Tuesday).
icddr,b under the supervision of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), is administering cholera vaccine  drive.
