Gold price increases again

Jewellers on Sunday raised the price of gold by Tk 1,225 to Tk 83,281 a bhari on the local market.
The matter was confirmed in a press release, signed by Enamul Haque Bhuyan, chairman of the Bajus Price Determination and Price Monitoring Standing Committee.
Gold will be bought and sold across the country according to the new price from Monday (August 22).
According to the new decision of Bajus, 22-carat gold will cost Tk 83,281, 21-carat will cost Tk79,490 and 18-carat gold will be Tk68,118.
Besides, the price of traditional gold was increased to Tk56,221.
Meanwhile, the price of silver was kept unchanged.
