Students block road in capital’s Banani

Students of several schools and colleges blocked the Banani road in the capital on Tuesday noon, demanding half pass in local buses.Students of Banani Bidyaniketan School and College and some other educational institutions blocked the road around 12.00pm, halting vehicular movement in the area and causing huge sufferings to the commuters.

They staged a demonstration with placards and banners in a bid to ensure half pass for students on local buses.

According to the students, many students who use this bus route every day are not being charged half fare while being treated badly for asking about it.

Officer-in-Charge of Banani Thana Nure Azam said we are trying to understand students so that they free the road.
