Zila parishad polls to be held on 17 October

The election commission (EC) has announced the election schedule. The voting in 61 Zila Parishads will be held on 17 October, according to the EC.

The election schedule was announced Tuesday (23 August).

The last date for submitting nomination papers is 15 September and those will be reviewed till 18 September.

Aspirants will be allowed to appeal against nomination rejection in between 19 September to 21 September. Deputy Commissioners of 61 districts will serve as returning officers in the elections.
