Shamsul Hoque Tuku set to become deputy speaker

The 19th session of the 11th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) will begin at 5 pm on Sunday (August 28). The parliament will elect new deputy speaker on the first day of the session.
According to a reliable source, Former State Minister of Home Affairs Shamsul Hoque Tuku is going to become the deputy speaker of the parliament.
President M Abdul Hamid will administer the oath of office to the new deputy speaker at 7 pm on Sunday (August 28) at his chamber in parliament, the source said.
Earlier, Noor-E-Alam Chowdhury Liton phoned Shamsul Hoque Tuku to come to the parliament by 10 am, taking preparations. Tuku was also asked to come to the parliament with preparations from Ganabhaban.
Deputy speaker Fazle Rabbi Mia passed away on July 22 at a hospital in New York, USA. His death left the post of deputy speaker vacant.
