IGP Benazir retires on Sep 30

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Benazir Ahmed is going to retire from his post on September 30.

The Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs issued a gazette in this regard on Thursday (September 22) upon the instruction from the president.

According to the notification, IGP Benazir's post-retirement leave (PRL) has been approved as per the Public Service Act, 2018, as he will turn 59 on September 30.

Benazir will get 18 months' basic salary and a retirement leave from 1 October this year till 30 September 2023.
