TCB to buy 1.10cr litre soybean oil

The Ministry of Commerce will buy 1.10 crore litres of soybean oil for family card holders of Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB).

The soybean oil will be purchased through open tender from three local institutions. The total cost of purchasing will be 189 crore 3 lakh 50 thousand taka. Per liter price is Tk 171.85. Meghna Edible Oil Refinery Limited as the lowest bidder will supply this soybean oil.

TCB will supply the oil to the low income group families at subsidised rate.

The proposal will be placed at a cabinet committee on public purchase for approval.
