Cyclone Sitrang may hit Bangladesh coast this evening

Cyclone Sitrang will start to hit Bangladesh coast  from this (Monday) evening.

The cyclone is heading towards Bangladesh coast. It will not hit India coast. It may mostly affect Barguna and Patuakhali districts.

State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief Dr Enamur Rahman informed this at a press conference at the Secretariat on Monday.

According to Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD), the storm has turned into a severe  cyclone. It may cross the Bangladesh coast from 6.00am to 7.00am on Tuesday.
