Chattogram, Cox`s Bazar, Barishal airports declared shut

Chattogram, Cox's Bazar and Barishal airports have been declared shut as cyclone Sitrang is heading towards Bangladesh coast.

Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh issued a circular in this regard on Monday (October 24) noon.

According to the circular, Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar and Barishal airports will remain closed due to the inclement weather, and it will be effective till 6.00am on Tuesday.

The cyclone is heading towards Bangladesh coast. It will start to cross coast from Monday evening. Mongla and Payra ports have been advised to display danger signal number seven.
