Vorer Pata editor Ertaza arrested over fraud charges

The Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) arrested the editor and publisher of the Daily Vorer Pata Dr Kazi Ertaza Hassan in a case filed on allegations of fraud and forgery for registering land with fake documents.
He was arrested from Gulshan-2 in the capital yesterday (November 1).
Abu Yusuf, PBI additional superintendent of police (media wing), confirmed his arrest.
On January 1, Md Saiful Islam Bhuiyan, deputy managing director of Ashiyan Lands Development, filed the case with Khilkhet Police Station accusing three more persons— Abu Yousuf Abdullah, Reazul Alam and Selim Munshi.
Kazi Ertaza Hassan is also the director of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce & Industries (FBCCI) and a member of Awami League’s central sub-committee on industry and commerce. He is also the editor and publisher of The Daily People’s Time.
