Suhrawardy Udyan turns into human sea

The historic Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital has turned into a human sea as people in their thousands have thronged there to attend the rally of Jubo League, the youth wing of ruling Awami League.

Bangladesh Awami Jubo League commonly known as Jubo League, the first youth organisation of Bangladesh, has organised the rally to celebrate its 50th founding anniversary.

The rally started on Friday noon where Awami League chief and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will be present as the chief guest.

Leaders and activists from different districts across the country started thronging Suhrawardy Udyan and its nearby areas since morning carrying banners and festoons.

Jubo League was founded by Sheikh Fazlul Haque Mani under the direction of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman through a youth convention at the Institution of Engineers on November 11, 1972.
