Death anniversary of freedom fighter principal Abu Taher Bhuiyan today

Today is the 14th death anniversary of valiant freedom fighter Principal Abu Taher Bhuiyan.

On this day in 2008, he breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospital in Dhaka.

Taher Bhuiyan was the ex-VP of Feni college, the first hoister of the flag of independent Bangla in Feni, ex-president of Feni district student League, ex-president of Feni district Sramik League, ex-president of Feni district JSD (Inu), president of Notun Projonmo Parishad central committee, president of Feni Gunijon Muktijoddha Mullayan Parishad, renowned journalist and columnist.

He is the father of journalist and member of Awami League central subcommittee Information and Research Sajjad Hossain Chisty and writer, columnist and lecturer of Notre Dame College- Sami Hossain Chisty and Government Official Mehzabeen Akter Daina.

On the occasion of his death anniversary, a milad and doa-mahfil, Quran Khatam and feast have been arranged for unprivileged at Rampura, Dhaka and his village Cumilla.

All are requested by his family members to attend this doa-mahfil.
