Saudi Arabia to recruit 28 lakh Bangladeshi workers

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is interested to recruit 28 lakh drivers from Bangladesh, foreign minister AK Abdul Momen said.

The minister said this while addressing reporters after a meeting with Saudi Deputy Minister of Interior Dr. Nasser bin Abdulaziz Al-Daoud.

AK Abdul Momen said that Bangladesh will sign two agreements with Saudi Arabia. Saudi government has shown interest in recruiting 28 lakh workers from Bangladesh. According to the Route to Makkah Agreement, after arriving at airport, pilgrims can go to Makkah without any immigration harassment now.

He said, another security issue was discussed. There will be an exchange of training between the police of the two countries.

Earlier on Saturday (November 12), Saudi Deputy Minister of Interior Dr. Nasser bin Abdulaziz Al-Daoud arrived Dhaka on Saturday on a two-day visit.
