Risingbd unveils world cup magazine ‘Dribbling’

The cover unveiling ceremony of world cup football magazine ‘Dribbling’ was held in risingbd’s office in the capital’s Mirpur-1 on Wednesday (November 16).

Risingbd managing committee president Md Humayun Kabir presided over the program while Taposh Roy, executive director of risingbd administrated the function.

Eminent theatre and television personality Azizul Hakim said, “An excitement works in everyone across the globe centering World Cup football. In this case, the magazine ‘Dribbling’ of risingbd will add a new dimension indeed. The new generation will be able to know unknown facts of football reading it. It is a commendable initiative.”

Sajjad Alam Khan Tapu, former general secretary of Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ), said the number of audiences of football is low in Bangladesh in a sense. Most of them are supporter of various football team here.  I am a man from newsroom. We try to provide exact information. We love football too. I Like many people; I also dream that Bangladesh will improve in football one day.

Famous writer, poet, playwright, columnist and journalist Anisul Haque, said undoubtedly football is a popular game all over the world. Its world greatest show. When we started going to World Cup cricket, the excitement of it was limited to us. Because we can support up to Bangladesh. Then, we become confused as Bangladesh don’t play world cup. So, we start supporting other nations. There are also supporters of Brazil in our country. Though the number of Argentina is much higher than Brazil. However, I personally believe Argentina is a better team this time. Still, I don’t know what will happen. But I got to know secretly, Brazil will be the champion. Risingbd has published a football magazine ‘Dribbling’. Thanks to them. Even though I am a Brazil supporter, maybe Argentina will win the cup this time. But I am a big fan of Neymar.

SM Zahid Hasan, publisher of news portal, said thanks everyone here for joining this ceremony. This time football world cup is going to hold during a war. We are already overburdened. FIFA President already urged the world leaders to call for a ceasefire. We want that everyone will enjoy football as it is the greatest show on earth. This year's World Cup is being held in Asia. It is our pride. We expect a lively game. Besides, we are urging everyone to read ‘Dribbling’.

Md Humayun Kabir, risingbd managing committee president, said the world is now affected by the World Cup 'storm'. ‘Dribbling’ was published to join that excitement. Risingbd is moving forward with the slogan 'Positive Bangladesh'. We took this initiative to inform the new generation about the history of world cup. It is a matter of joy that we have published the magazine first. We want to be an ideal magazine. I invite everyone to enjoy the World Cup.
