Eminent children’s writer Ali Imam has died at 70.
He breathed his last around 6:00 pm on Monday (November 21) while undergoing treatment at the Bangladesh Specialized Hospital in Bangladesh capital Dhaka.
He is survived by his wife, one daughter and a son.
Ali Imam’s family confirmed the news of his death.
It was learned that Ali Imam had been suffering from various complex diseases including respiratory system and pneumonia for long days.
Ali Imam was born on December 31, 1950 in Brahmanbaria. He wrote more than 600 books.
He received many awards including Bangla Academy Literary Award and Shishu Academy Award.
He served as the general manager of state-run BTV and private TV channel Channel One.
