Eight products can be imported with delayed payments

The central bank has given permission to import eight products with delayed payments on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.

The facilities are given due to dollar crisis, according to sources concerned.

The products are: edible oil, chickpeas, pulses, peas, onions, spices, sugar, and dates.

Foreign Exchange and Policy Department of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued a circular in this regard on Tuesday (December 13).

According to the circular, the import facility is being approved under 90-day suppliers and buyers credit. This facility will be valid until March 31, 2023.
