Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer put on 7-day remand

A Dhaka court on Tuesday (December 13) placed Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Md. Shafiqur Rahman, on a seven-day remand in a case filed with Jatrabari police station.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rajesh Chowdhury passed the order after the hearing.

Sub-Inspector Mahmudur Rahman of Jatrabari police station confirmed the matter to risingbd.

Earlier, the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested him around 1:00 am on Tuesday (December 13) from his residence in Uttara, Dhaka.
