Petrobangla gets new chairman

The government has appointed Zanendra Nath Sarker, additional secretary of the industries ministry, as the new chairman of Bangladesh Oil, Gas & Mineral Corporation, better known as Petrobangla.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a circular in this regard on Sunday (January 1).

Earlier on December 11, Nazmul Ahsan, who continued to serve as the chairman of Petrobangla, was promoted and appointed as the secretary of the Ministry of Water Resources.

In a separate order, Md Rakibul Islam has been appointed as Assistant Private Secretary (APS) to State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak. Meawhile, Ranjit Kumar, who was serving as APS in that post, has been relieved.
